Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of March 17, 2008

Stearns County Sheriff: Stolen Dog  (From week of March 10, 2008 – Dog returned to owner)

On 3-11-08 a 9 year old spade female, registered black lab was stolen from or near Larkspur Lane in Collegeville Twp.  About 2 hours after comp realized "Terra" was missing he received a call from person at St Johns University, this person had found "Terra's" dog collar on Fruit Farm Road by the Collegeville Credit Union, comp was going to pick collar up in the morning.  Comp said Terra would never run away from home.  Dog is micro-chipped in right ear, comp has reported it stolen through microchip company as well. Dog valued at $2000.00.

Sartell Police: 8 – Case Summaries

Saturday, March 15  (7 cases solved with arrest of 3 juveniles)

12:41 a.m. Property damage, 1500 block of Oriole Ave S. Vehicle window was smashed while it was parked on the street. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle.

1:08 a.m. Property damage, 400 block of Bechtold Drive. Vehicle window was smashed while it was parked in the driveway. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle.

9:30 a.m. Theft, 1500 block of 6th Avenue North. A black Nokia cell phone charger, a pair of maroon suede snow boots with grey fur trim and a vehicle owner’s manual were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight. The vehicle had been parked in the owner’s garage with the garage door left open.

11:00 a.m. Theft, 1000 block of Connecticut Avenue. Suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway and stole a Pioneer Premier face plate, model # DEH-P740MP. Several miscellaneous CDs were also taken.

11:12 a.m. Theft, 300 block of 1st Avenue North. An air filter that had been sitting in the back seat was stolen. Two cassette tapes were stolen from a second vehicle at the residence. Both vehicles were parked outside, unlocked.

11:44 a.m. Property damage, 1200 block of 15th Street South. Drivers side mirror on vehicle was smashed while vehicle was parked outside of residence.

2:21 p.m. Theft, 1500 block of 4th Avenue North. A purse containing cash and miscellaneous items was stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway overnight.

Saturday, March 15

2:00 p.m. Vandalism, 1600 block of Grizzly Lane. House was hit with paintballs.

St. Cloud Police: Aggravated Robbery

On 03/16/08 at approximately 2134 hours officers were dispatched to 1100 block of 9th Avenue South for a robbery, which had occurred.

The investigation revealed that two males, a 19 year old St. Cloud resident and a 20 year old St. Cloud resident, had been approached by an unknown black male, who stated that he had a gun and demanded their money. No gun was observed. The victims turned over a small amount of cash and the suspect fled the area on foot.

Neither victim was injured during the incident. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male with an accent, approximately 6'3" tall, approximately 155 pounds, with little or no facial hair, and wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
