Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of March 3, 2008

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 03/04/08 at approximately 0304 hours officers were dispatched to the 200 block of 19 2/2 Avenue North reference a burglary complaint. During the investigation officers were advised that a St. Cloud woman had a male enter her residence via an unlocked door and had taken several hundred dollars in cash contained in a purse from inside the residence.

The suspect is an unknown raced male approximately 5'6" wearing a "nice" light tan jacket. The jacket had alternating light and dark stripes that were approximately 1 1/2 inches wide. The suspect left in an unknown direction.

St. Cloud Police: Drive by Shooting

On 03/01/08 at 2248 hours officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 8th Avenue South in reference to a gunshots complaint.

Upon investigating the complaint one spent shell casing was located at the intersection of 7th Street South and 8th Avenue South. Two vehicles seen leaving the area during this incident were described as a white four door sedan and a tan pickup truck. No one was injured and no property was damaged.

St. Cloud Police: Drive by Shooting


On 03/01/08 at 2232 hours officers were dispatched to 400 block of 25th Avenue North for a shots fired report. Upon arrival in the area, officers located four spent shell casings in the street and three bullet holes into a residence on the west side of the street. There were five individuals inside the residence at the rime of the shooting, but there were no injuries.

There are no arrests at this time, but the case is actively being worked. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 320-255-1301.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 03/01/08 at approximately 2058 hours, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 11th Street South, in reference to a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, age 19 of St. Cloud, who stated that someone broke into his unoccupied residence between 1200 hours on 02/29/08 and 2030 hours on
03/01/08.

Items that were taken from the residence included a Hewlett Packard Pavilian laptop, a computer cargo backpack, and a math text book. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by damaging the lock on the front door.

Stearns County Sheriff: Skid Steer Trailer Theft

On 2/28/08, the SCSO received a report of a stolen skid steer trailer.  The trailer was stolen from 393rd Ave and Greencrest Road in Crow River Twp.  The trailer is black, with homemade fenders, MN registration CVTS171.  Make is PJ, year is 2002.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
