Sartell Police: 3 – Case Summaries
Tuesday, April 1
10:38 a.m. Criminal damage, Lowell Lane. Vehicle tires were slashed
overnight while parked at owner’s residence.
Thursday, April 3
1:17 p.m. Tampering with motor vehicle, 200 block of 5th Avenue East.
Suspect(s) rummaged through an unlocked vehicle overnight. No damage to
vehicle. Nothing was reported as missing.
Friday, April 4
9:56 p.m. Theft, Gold’s Gym. A male patron reported that some cash was
stolen from inside his unlocked locker.
Waite Park Police: 3 – Case Reports
Theft of Gas
Waite Park Police Department is investigating a report of stolen gas.
Complainant stated that when the vehicle was parked on 3/25/08 at 1000 blk
of 7th St South, it had a full tank of gas. When the complainant went to
use the black Chevy Silverado on 4/3/08 there was less than ¼ a tank of
gas left and the gas cap was on the ground.
Stolen Vehicle
On 3/31/08, the Waite Park Police Department received a report of a
vehicle stolen from Speedy Print, 33rd Ave S. The vehicle is described as
a 2001 Isuzu, silver in color, MN license YAM5178. The vehicle has a cab
with the Speedy Print logo on the side.
Burglary
On 4/2/08 the Waite Park Police Department received a report of a garage
burglary on the 200 blk of 11th Avenue N. Stolen from the garage were many
tools including a miter saw, sawzall, framing nailer, crown sheeting
stapler, and a Black and Decker jigsaw. St. Cloud Police: Robbery, Assault and Theft
On 04/06/08 at approximately 0306 hours officers were dispatched to the
St. Cloud Law Enforcement Center for a robbery complaint.
Through investigation it was learned that at approximately 0215 hours a
22-year-old male from St. Cloud had been approached by three white males
and beaten up, having his wallet stolen.
The males were described as mid-twenties, one wearing a polo shirt with
horizontal colored stripes; the second wearing a blue and white checkered
long-sleeved collared shirt and a white undershirt. The males approached
the victim in a friendly manner, eventually asked for money and, when they
did not receive any, punched the victim multiple times, stole his wallet
and fled.
St. Cloud Police: Robbery, Assault and Theft
On 04/06/0& at approximately 0332 hours officers responded to the 1900
block of 16th Street Southeast for a robbery. Investigation revealed that
three white males assaulted two 19-year-old Duluth college students as
they were walking home from a party.
The three white males assaulted the college student by taking their
wallets and then fled the area on foot. A search was conducted with Waite
Park K-9 but officers were unable to locate the suspects.
Two suspects were described as approximately 5'10" to 6'0". One suspect
was wearing a gray sweatshirt or polo type shirt and the other suspect was
possibly wearing a gray and white horizontally striped shirt.
St. Cloud Police: Business Burglary and Theft
On 04/05/08 at 2217 hours officers were dispatched to Erik's Bike Shop,
2115 West Division Street in reference to a burglary.
Investigation revealed that two suspects threw a brick through the window
of the bike shop and one of the males entered the bike shop and took a
bike. The bicycle is described as a 2008 Specialized Tarmac Expert, red,
white, and blue, road bike valued at $2,900. Evidence was collected on
scene and investigation continues.
St. Joseph Police: Business Burglary and Theft
The St. Joseph Police Department is investigating a burglary that happened
at Promotional Resources, 702 19th Ave SE in the City of St. Joseph. The
burglary happened sometime during the night and was reported at around
6:00am this morning by an employee coming to work. Taken in the burglary
was a laptop computer, computer hardware, a Yamaha dirt bike and a 1989
Nissan pick-up truck. Anyone having information about this burglary should
contact the St. Joseph Police Department or Tri-County Crime Stoppers.
St. Cloud Police: Bias Related Vandalism
On 4/1/08, officers met with the victim of damage to property that
included a bias message toward sexual preferences. The victim, a 29 year
old St. Cloud resident, had a derogatory word scratched in the hood of
their vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
The incident occurred in the area of the 1200 block of 13th Avenue North.
St. Cloud Police: Assault with Injuries
On 04/01/08 at approximately 2211 hours officers were dispatched to 501
St. Germain Street West, MC'5 Dugout, for the report of an assault. Upon
arrival officers were able to identify the victim, who had two large
lacerations behind his left ear, from being struck over the head with a
drink glass. Witnesses were able to positively identify the suspect as
John Jerome Dachtera, age 29 of St. Cloud, through photo line up as the
person who struck the victim with the drink glass.
Evidence indicates there is enough probable cause to arrest Dachtera for
3rd degree assault. If anyone knows Dachtera's whereabouts they are

Friday, March 28
4:30 p.m. Theft, 400 block of 7th Street North. A purse containing
miscellaneous items and a CD case were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Monday, March 17
4:30 p.m. Theft, 100 block of 1st Avenue North. A Nextel cell phone, model
I-305, a Carhart jacket and a safety vest were stolen from a vehicle
parked in the owner’s driveway.
Tuesday, March 18
8:10 a.m. Property damage, 1500 block of Pine Siskin Avenue South. Vehicle
tires were slashed while vehicle was parked overnight in owner’s driveway.
Wednesday, March 19
6:50 a.m. Criminal damage, 1000 block of 1st Street NE. Vehicle was egged
while parked overnight in parking lot.
6:13 p.m. Theft, Golds Gym. A patron reported the theft of a 14 carat,
two-tone drop pendant with four round brilliant cut diamonds and a 14
carat yellow gold chain.
Wednesday, March 26
5:39 a.m. Vandalism, 500 block of 1st Avenue North. Obscenities were
written on a vehicle parked overnight in the owner’s driveway.
7:05 a.m. Vandalism, 1600 block of 4th Avenue North. Obscenities were
written on a vehicle parked overnight in the owner’s driveway.
7:20 a.m. Vandalism, 1800 block of 7th Avenue North. Obscenities were
written on a vehicle parked overnight in the owner’s driveway.
Stearns County Sheriff: Criminal
Damage to Property and Theft
On 3-18-08, a vehicle broke down around 10 pm and parked in an approach
north of St Rosa by county roads 17 and 35. Someone busted out
windshield and rear window sometime between 10 pm and 2:45 am. It appeared
they used a hammer. St. Cloud Police: Robbery and Assault
On 03/29/08 at approximately 0055 hours officers were dispatched to the
area of 7th Avenue South and 6th Street South in reference to a robbery
complaint.
Upon arrival officers met with the victim, a 21 year old female resident
of St. Cloud, in the alley of the 400 block between 6th and 7th Avenue.
The victim stated that she was approached by two white males and one white
female on the comer of 6'" Avenue South and 4th Street South.
She stated that one of the males demanded money from her. Investigation
revealed that the male suspect grabbed onto her purse and threw the victim
to the ground. While on the ground, the male suspect grabbed her throat
and began choking her. The suspect male then ran from the area with the
other male and female. All three parties got into a vehicle and left in a
southbound direction. The victim required no medical treatment.

St. Cloud Police: Indecent Exposer
(From week of March 24, 2008)
On 03/22/08 at approximately 2146 hours officers were dispatched to the
600 block of 5th Avenue South, for an exposer complaint.
Officers met with a 22 year old female resident of St. Cloud, who stated
that she was walking out to her vehicle when she observed what she thought
was a male urinating on another car. She asked the male what he was doing
at which time he turned to her with his penis out of his pants and started
masturbating in front of her.
The male was described as a white male approximately 18 to 25 years old,
5' 7" to 5' 10", 160 to 170 pounds, with no facial hair, and wearing a
black Polaris jacket and a blaze orange stocking cap. There have been
similar incidents reported in 1he last few weeks regarding a male matching
the similar description.
