Crime Stoppers Open Cases for Week of May 5, 2008

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary and Theft

The SCSO is investigating a burglary at a private residence on Co Rd 132, Brockway Twp, on 5-5-08 between 0630 and 1600 hours. Forced entry was gained through front door and porch door,  Suspects just threw a shoulder into both doors to force them open.  Dresser and closet were looked through.  Only thing missing so far is 30.00 in state quarters.  Many other valuable items were readily available.  Photos were taken of unknown tire tracks in complainant’s yard. 

Stearns County Sheriff: Fuel Theft

Sometime within the past 2-3 days someone has siphoned out approximately 900 gallons of diesel fuel from construction semi's at Scepaniak Inc. located at 527 4th St in Holdingford.  The theft was noticed in the morning of May 5.

St. Cloud Police: Residential Burglary and Theft

On 05/04/08 at approximately 2042 hours, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of McKinley Place South, for a burglary. Investigation revealed that two younger males broke through a window and stole a Playstation 3 game console from the living room of a residence between the 1800 hours and 2000 hours.

The two males fled through the alley and drove off in a blue colored compact vehicle. The victim was not home and the residence was unoccupied at the time of the burglary.

Sartell Police: 4 – Case Summaries

Tuesday, April 29

1:07 a.m. Car prowler, 400 block of 7th Street North. A suspect was observed entering parked vehicles. The suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and was seen leaving the area in a dark 4-door vehicle. The called reported that the following items were missing from his garage: 6-gallon gas can, depth finder/fish locator, trolling motor and two boat seats. The items were last seen in November, 2007.

Wednesday, April 30


11:33 p.m. Vandalism, 1100 block of 3rd Street North. Two vehicles were covered with an unknown sauce.

Thursday, May 1

8:15 a.m. Vandalism, Sartell Post Office. Obscenity was written on a postal vehicle.

Sunday, May 4

12:57 p.m. Theft, 300 block of Lawrence Court. Vehicle license plate was removed.

Stearns County Sheriff: Residential Burglary

On 4-29-08 between 0700 and 1800 hours unknown persons burglarized a residence on 95th Ave. Brockway Twp.  Victim left garage door open when he left for work, forced entry was gained into the residence through basement door in garage using homeowners screwdriver and metal wedge.  So far homeowner said nothing is missing. 

Neighbor saw an older late 80's, early 90's white Chevy Cutlass with lots of rust leave the residence between 1330 - 1400.  Vehicle left northbound on 95th Ave.
